A leading figure in astronomy and presenter of the BBC programme The Sky at Night for over 50 years.

An amazing man, now up with the stars that he has observed for most of his life. RIP.

The Night Sky - iPad mini Giveaway Results

To our surprise, unfortunately nobody entered the iPad mini giveaway with a video before the advertised deadline of 9th November 2012. Therefore we are unable to giveaway the iPad mini.

We thought we would be inundated, however we were not! We think making a video for a competition may have been too much for people when they suspected there was a slim chance of winning. If we just had 1 person enter they would have won the iPad mini, however the competition has now closed.

We will learn from this experience for future promotional events.

To celebrate the 1st Birthday of The Night Sky app, we are giving away a brand new iPad mini!

The giveaway is open worldwide, to be in with a chance of winning you need to do the following 2 things:

1) Make a video of you (and your friends if you like), telling us why you love The Night Sky app! The better the video the more chance of winning! We really like it if you feature the app in the video itself showing us how you use it!

1) Send us a link to the video either by posting it on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/iCandiApps, or by e-mailing us a link to it at promotions@iCandiApps.com be sure to include your contact information so we can contact you if you win!

That’s it! We will pick the winner on Friday 9th November 2012 and ship the iPad mini that day to the winner. The name of the winner will be published on the iCandiApps.com website blog.

By entering the iPad mini giveaway, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1) You agree and give consent that iCandi Apps Limited may use your video in any way they please in all future promotional and marketing materials. If you win the iPad mini, you give consent for iCandi Apps to publish your name on their website.
2) There is 1 iPad mini 16GB Wi-fi only Black model available for giveaway.
3) You agree that the winner is decided by iCandi Apps Limited management, and iCandi Apps Limited decision is final.
